The World is not to be put in order,
The World is order,
It is for us to harmonise with this order.
Natural Laws, Spiritual Laws, Universal Laws or simply Higher Laws, no matter what name we place on these Laws, we can not seem to alter them. The laws govern the movement of the Earth, the cycle of seasons, the forces of nature, and the structure of the atom. Nature didn’t make these laws; nature only reveals and demonstrates them. They humble and inspire those who search for them in order to look at the chaos in which we live, as we believe, for they point to a greater power and mystery at the source of our existence.
When these laws are adapted and applied to us the human realm, these Laws of Spirit become guiding principles that we can use to steer us through the highs and lows of life, the same way the star and compass guided ancient mariners on their course. Constant as the movement of the planets, they apply not only to the mechanics of nature, but to the human psyche as well.
Natural laws are to be observed with the utmost respect and not be regarded as mere theories of life. Humankind will never completely understand all sacred knowledge as it exists, they are there to be experienced as the sacred mysteries of the Creator.
As we become aware of these laws, we can monitor our thoughts, speech and actions to think in a positive frame of mind, to speak with confidence because you are divinely guided, we need to act with unconditional love for all of nature and humanity. When you live in unconditional love it replaces all fears and helps with the courage that is needed for the responsibility of our journey; patience for our inadequacies; and the foresight to consider the generations ahead.
Ultimately, all Spiritual Laws reveal themselves as needed — perhaps not in words, but through our deepest feelings, through the intuitive wisdom of our hearts. Our bodies when free of external programming and interference, abide naturally within these laws, which are communicated through our instincts and subtle intuitive feelings. All we have to do is to pay attention to and trust our inner knowing. For the mind or ego, our isolated sense of separate self, resists the flow of the current of life.
When we align our lives to these laws, we can approach our habits of life, such as work, relationships with people, diet, exercise, and our sexuality, without struggle, as we start embracing the moment for what it is. Although challenges will always remain, with a positive attitude we can always learn to flow through life, like peaceful warriors. We always have the choice to stay the same, or to change and grow.
These laws have very little to do with cultural concepts of right or wrong, good or bad. Sooner or later, one way or another, the challenges and consequences of daily life teach us about cause and effect, action and reaction, through awareness we come to respect the powers of nature and to appreciate the inherent justice of Spiritual Law.
